About Us

Supporting safer lives and stronger futures

Two Magpies Fund is a philanthropic foundation that awards grants to charities and not-for-profits working to address violence against women and girls (VAWG) in all its forms, and to help children have the best start in life.

Established in 2019, we have awarded over £3 million to over 100 organisations, based mainly in London.

Our current VAWG strategy commits to giving multi-year, unrestricted grants to programmes that prevent gender-based violence through education, and to those that support people to leave abusive relationships and rebuild their lives.

Our current children's strategy aims to give young people the best start in life by supporting the work of baby banks and play schemes in family hostels.

A newly commissioned stream of work is looking at the negative impacts of the criminal justice system on women and their families.

We aim to get vital funds straight to where they are needed most, as quickly and simply as possible.

How we work

Long-term partnerships

We provide unrestricted, multi-year grants ranging from £15,000 to £50,000, allowing organisations to plan for sustainable impact rather than focusing on short-term project cycles.

Simple and accessible

We keep our application process straightforward and supportive. We aim to get funds to where they're needed quickly, without excessive bureaucracy.

Built on relationships

For organisations we know well, we offer unrestricted funding. New applicants start with smaller grants as we build understanding and trust together.

"Since 2020, Two Magpies Fund have been brilliant to work with. As well as providing crucial, long-term funding, they communicate professionally at every stage and often ahead of time. They are knowledgeable about the charity sector and consistent in their approach. We appreciate the time they allow us to reflect and report, and they are always open to acting as a strategic sounding board."
