What We Fund

Our grant sizes range from £15,000 – £50,000 and for organisations we know well, we tend to offer unrestricted, multi-year grants.

If you are new to Two Magpies Fund, your first grant is likely to be less than £15,000.

Who should apply for funding

  • Small to medium-sized charities and not-for-profits (with an income of under £1 million)

  • Organisations working directly with beneficiaries

  • Groups based mainly in London, or that have potential to create systemic change across the UK

  • Organisations addressing violence against women and girls (VAWG)

  • Projects helping children have the best start in life

Examples of what we might fund

  • Counselling and support services for survivors of domestic abuse, human trafficking, sexual abuse, forced marriage, FGM and modern slavery

  • Educational programmes that prevent gender-based violence

  • Support services helping people leave abusive relationships and rebuild their lives

  • Baby banks and playschemes in family hostels

  • Community groups, homework clubs, food banks and beauty banks

  • Project costs, one-off equipment costs and running costs

Examples of what we don't fund

  • Individuals

  • Faith-based organisations

  • Lobbying and campaigning organisations

  • Research grants

  • Large institutional charities (over £1m annual income)

"The unrestricted, multi-year funding from Two Magpies has been transformational for our organisation. It's allowed us to focus on the women and families we serve, rather than constantly chasing the next grant."
